Fundraising Volunteer –

The Humour Foundation is on a mission to spread joy and laughter across Tasmania as part of our Smiles Across Tasmania Appeal.

We are seeking passionate volunteers to help us raise vital funds that will allow our Clown Doctors to bring smiles to children in hospitals across Tasmania.

As a volunteer, you will play a key role in connecting with the community, collecting donations, and sharing the impactful work of The Humour Foundation. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating moments of joy and hope for those who need it most.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, meet like-minded people, and be part of a movement that creates hope and happiness across Tasmania. Your time and enthusiasm will help bring countless smiles to those who need them most.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in pairs, the role of our volunteers is to be at the event .
• Engage with the public to encourage donations.
• Support Clown Doctor activations.
• Provide information about The Humour Foundation’s mission and impact.

2. Time Commitment

• Volunteers are needed on Wednesday 26 February to support our activities at Ladbrokes Launceston Cup between 10-4pm
• Shifts are typically 2 hours duration, but volunteers are welcome to do more and stay beyond their shift.

3. What You’ll Need

✔ Enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor. 

✔ Passionate about supporting a great cause.

✔ Ability to handle cash or digital donations responsibly.

✔ Comfortable clothing.

4. Training & Support Provided

• An online briefing will be conducted prior to the event, and a briefing on site prior to shift start.
• A dedicated contact person for questions and support.
• Clear guidelines on fundraising and handling donations.
• Volunteers will receive a Humour Foundation Cap and vest to wear on the day, light refreshments.
