Refund Statement

Any request for refund of contributions already donated to The Humour Foundation by a supporter will be considered and determined on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will be returned to the card/bank account originally debited.

If a donation is refunded, the associated tax receipt is no longer valid so it should be securely destroyed. Please note it is your responsibility to submit only correct receipts to the Australian Tax Office.

Monthly Donation – Cancellation Policy

The Humour Foundation accepts all donations in good faith, including regular gifts to our programs. We understand that sometimes it is not convenient to give, however we will not refund a donation that has been knowingly and voluntarily given to us.

Requests for a refund of contributions already donated to The Humour Foundation by a supporter will be considered and determined on a case-by-case basis. Refund requests will only be considered within 30 days after the date of the donation as all donations received are swiftly employed in one of our much needed programs.

The Humour Foundation reserves the right to deduct any bank fees, transaction charges or processing fees from the refunded amount. Refunds will be returned to the card/bank account originally debited.

  • We will refund if there is evidence that an error was made by The Humour Foundation or one of our agents
  • We will refund if there is written evidence that a supporter has requested a regular debit cancellation 7 business days prior to the debit date, however the debits have continued

Should an error in the donation amount be detected and a request for refund made after 30 days have expired, The Humour Foundation regrets that we are unable to issue a refund.

Monthly Donation – Requesting a Refund

If you wish to request a refund, please contact our Supporter Care team, providing the following details in writing:

Your full name

Supporter ID (if known)

Mailing address

Email address you provided when making the original donation/setting up the regular donation

Your phone number

Date on which the donation was made

Amount of the relevant donation

Pay method

All relevant circumstances supporting your request

Upon receipt of your refund request, we will review and respond within 2 business days. If your refund request is approved, we will process the refund as soon as possible. Please note that it may take 10-14 business days until the refund reaches your account.

If a donation is refunded, the associated tax receipt is no longer valid. Please note, it is your responsibility to submit only correct tax receipts to the Australian Tax Office.

If you wish to stop, defer a Debit Payment, or reduce the amount of the payment, you must notify us in writing at least seven (7) Business Days before the next Debit Day.

You may also cancel your authority for us to debit your Account at any time, however you must notify us in writing at least seven (7) Business Days before the next Debit Day.

In relation to your request, we will send you a confirmation email/letter advising that we have received and processed your request. Should you not receive this confirmation letter within fourteen (14) Business Days, please contact us again to ensure we have received your request.
