The Clown Nose Project: Hyundai’s Gift of Joy
For children in hospital, laughter isn’t just a distraction, it’s a form of medicine. Thanks to Hyundai Help for Kids, our Clown Doctors can continue to bring light and connection to those who need it most through The Clown Nose Project.
Hyundai Help for Kids is funding a red nose for every current and future Clown Doctor, ensuring that each member of our team has this powerful tool of connection. The red nose is more than just a prop – it’s an invitation to play, a bridge between fear and comfort, and a reminder that laughter belongs in every hospital ward. It’s often the first thing a child notices, the signal to a parent that it’s okay to smile, and the spark that turns a hospital corridor into a place of joy.
Since 2014, Hyundai Help for Kids has contributed over $1.1 million to The Humour Foundation, enabling 930+ clown rounds and reaching 120,000+ children, families, and hospital staff. This latest initiative strengthens their incredible legacy of support, reinforcing the impact of play, joy, and shared moments of silliness during times of uncertainty.
The Clown Nose Project is more than just about a physical nose, it’s about what it represents. A connection. A moment of joy. A reason to laugh, even in the hardest times.
In November 2024, Hyundai proudly presented a number of our Clown Doctors with their new noses at The Humour Foundation’s Annual Conference. It was a wonderful moment of celebration, highlighting the deep significance of this initiative and the power of play in healthcare environments.
We are beyond grateful to Hyundai Help for Kids for their continued support in bringing laughter where it’s most needed.
