Unite4Kids gala Event
Making a difference in the lives of children through laughter and joy.
On the 13th of June 2024, The Humour Foundation had the pleasure of being one of the beneficiaries at the Unite4Kids Gala Fundraising Lunch. Held at the Adelaide Oval, this event brought together a community of passionate supporters, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children through laughter and joy.
The Impact of Your Generosity
Thanks to the incredible support from donors and attendees, The Humour Foundation will be able to continue its mission to enhance wellbeing, lift spirits, and improve health through insightful connection, creative play, and joyful humour. Every dollar directed to us will contribute to our Clown Doctors program, ensuring our team of professional performers can continue to bring joy, laughter, and connection to children facing illness and hospitalisation.
A Heartfelt Thank You
A big thank you to the organisers of Unite4Kids, as well as our generous partners for donating auction items, including Stressless/Ekornes and Hyundai Help for Kids. Thank you to every individual who attended the gala and bid on an auction item; your support is invaluable and makes a world of difference to the children and families we serve. Together, we are creating a brighter, happier future for the next generation.
About Unite4Kids
Well known South Australian, Angela Condous, OAM has been raising money for South Australian charities for more than 30 years. In 2014 Holly, the daughter of Angela’s close friends and long-standing charity supporters Ben and Kim Mead, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia – an aggressive form of childhood cancer. Holly, who was only 6 years old at the time, went through more than two years of intensive chemotherapy and cancer treatment. During this time Angela Condous asked Holly what she found helpful during her treatment. As a result ‘Unite4Kids’ was born to raise money for the charities that helped Holly and her friends in hospital along with their families. These charities continue to support the hundreds of children fighting serious illness. Holly is now a healthy teenager and, like so many other children who have overcome childhood cancer, continues to be an inspiration.
